Skiathos island is the ideal location for you to discover mainland Greece, only 35 minutes away from Athens by plane and 1hr & 15 minutes from Volos by hydrofoil, you can easily go on a day trip to visit the amazing Acropolis or the breathtaking cliff top monasteries in Meteora.
For a shorter journey, you can visit our neighbouring islands Alonissos and Skopelos. For further suggestions please enquire at reception who will be pleased to advise and assist you with bookings and arrangements for any excursions. Taxi transfers can also be arranged.

Water sports |

For those of our guests who wish to spend a more energetic day in the sun, a wide variety of water sports including boat rental, are available on Agia Paraskevi and Koukounaries beaches.
The islands coastline offers an endless choice of pristine bays, rocky promontories and golden beaches which are all suitable for swimming. A full range of sea sports is available; try parasailing, windsurfing or water-skiing or rent a jet ski for an exhilarating race across the clear waters of the Aegean.
Take a leisurely stroll along the coast or inland, but remember that in summer it becomes very hot towards midday, so time your walk carefully.
Early mornings and evenings are the perfect time, leaving the middle of the day for the beach or, better still, a siesta in your comfortable room or suite.
Or take one of the small boats to the more remote northern beaches and spend a peaceful day sunbathing, swimming and snorkelling lease enquire at reception for availability and bookings. |
